Our Theme
The Gospel
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).
A City
“When the righteous prosper, the city rejoices; when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy” (Proverbs 11:10).
For Generation
“We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done. So the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but keep his commands” (Psalm 78:4, 6-7).
Our Purpose
The goal of the Children’s Ministry at Redeemer is to encourage children to serve and renew their communities through the knowledge and application of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We work toward this goal by immersing them in Scripture, teaching them how to pray and worship, and facilitating spiritual growth among a new generation in New York City.
In addition to teaching children to live gospel-centered lives, the Children’s Ministry seeks to encourage and support families in their commitment to stay and engage the city by facilitating, discipling and offering practical support to them as they apply Redeemer’s values and beliefs to their families.
